How do I add an e-mail? PDF Print E-mail

Log in to your VDS Manager:

http://www.yoursite.com/manager

 

1. Choose the "Add a new Email account" link on the Email / FTP box

 

This box will pop up

2. Enter the username, this is what will appear before the @ - ie. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  - I would enter dave

3. Enter the full name in the Accout Description, or some other term to identify it on the list of e-mails.

4. Enter a password in the New Password field - it MUST be between 6 - 8 characters long, containing only printable ASCII characters of the English alphabet.

5. Enter the password again in the Retype password field.

6. Choose a disk quota as necesary for the user (a disk quota of 0 means "unlimited quota*")

7. Choose whether or not to enable an auto responder (a message that is automatically sent back when you get a message) The default is unchecked.

8. If you would like this person to also have FTP access leave the "Enable, with quota..." box checked under the FTP group. Uncheck it if not.

     If you choose to enable FTP access for this user, you must also assign them a Home directory.

9. Click Finish and the Email/FTP account will be set up.

You should see the account on your list.

* Please note that even accounts with "unlimited quota" auto-archive
